AP and Dual Credit Courses

Colleges and universities look for students that challenge themselves. They want students that work hard and are dedicated to their studies. You can demonstrate this by taking challenging courses and doing well.

You can also begin to earn college credits by taking some of the more rigorous courses that are offered as AP and dual credit classes. In Texas, most high school students are given the opportunity to gain at least 15 semester college hours by taking AP or dual credit classes.
