A FAFSA MUST: Discussion with a Parent
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will help determine the amount of federal aid a college/university can offer you. As most students are considered "DEPENDENT" on the parent, Discussions with a parent are a MUST. Invite your parents to do this activity with you so that you can both become aware of the things you might need to report.
The "heart" (and perhaps the most confusing part) of the FAFSA is the part involving finances. You and your parent will need to answer questions about things YOU may be reading about for the first time.
